"The facts are uncontested...Trump abused his power for his own personal political benefit," Nancy Pelosi claimed as she took the podium in her cream-colored jacket to declare her statement on the impeachment of President Trump. "Democrats will proceed with articles of impeachment against President Trump, declaring that the president's conduct "leaves us no choice but to act."
This comes on the heels of the alleged testimony of 4 expert witnesses the House Judicial committee heard yesterday on the subject matter. Where they essentially gave their opinion with respect to the president's conduct.
President Trump was quick to respond on Twitter about the "Do Nothing Radical Left democrats Democrats".
Declaring, that "The Do Nothing, radical Left Democrats have just announced that they are going to seek to Impeach me over NOTHING. They already gave up on the ridiculous Mueller "stuff," so now they hang their hats on two totally appropriate, (perfect) phone calls with the Ukranian President...
In a second tweet, Trump went on, "This will mean that the beyond important and seldom used act of Impeachment will be used routinely to attack future Presidents. That is not what our Founders had in mind. The good thing is that the Republicans have NEVER been more united. We will win!"
Once this goes to a vote, and the Democrats "impeach" the President it will go to the Senate. Where there are assurances that the Senate will not remove the president from his office.
