Breaking! Microsoft to acquire Call of Duty

As reported by Reuters, Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O) said on Tuesday it was acquiring "Call of Duty" videogame maker Activision Blizzard (ATVI.O) for $68.7 billion in cash, the biggest deal in the sector that would help the Xbox maker become the third-largest gaming company by revenue.

"Gaming is the most dynamic and exciting category in entertainment across all platforms today and will play a key role in the development of metaverse platforms," Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella said in a statement.

The deal also comes after Activision Blizzard confirmed it had fired or disciplined more than 80 employees in a months-long probe into allegations of sexual harassment at the video game-making group.

Even those people who are not interested in gaming should take an interest. Call of Duty is one of the best-selling video game franchises in the world. The issue with this acquisition will make Microsoft a huge investor in the video gaming industry. With this much influence, Microsoft can transform how children playing video games view the world.

Microsoft is openly advocating for the Marxist organization Black Lives Matter and has contributed considerably to its organization. Donating $250,000 to the organization, as well as other social justice organizations that promote a Marxist agenda, Will the gaming platform reflect a more socialist view of how society should be run?
