John Fleming: The Staunch Conservative Louisiana Needs in the U.S. Senate

Louisiana Republicans have a clear choice on June 27: a proven, battle-tested fighter who has stood with President Trump since day one, or more of the same. Dr. John Fleming is the real deal — a physician, businessman, Navy veteran, Freedom Caucus founder, and current State Treasurer who actually fights for Louisiana values and taxpayer dollars.

Born into a working-class family in Minden, Fleming lost his father young but still worked his way through college and medical school. He served our country as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy as a family medicine physician. Back in Louisiana, he built a successful medical practice and multiple businesses that employ hundreds of hardworking Louisianans. That’s real-world experience, not DC talk.

In Congress from 2009-2017, Fleming compiled a 97% lifetime conservative voting record, co-founded the House Freedom Caucus with Jim Jordan, Mark Meadows, and Ron DeSantis, and passed strong pro-Second Amendment legislation. He holds A+ ratings from the NRA, Gun Owners of America, and NumbersUSA. He consistently voted against bloated spending bills and opposed radical Green New Deal policies.

After Congress, Fleming stood firm with President Trump when others faded. He served in the Trump Administration and was detailed to the White House as Assistant to the President for Planning and Implementation — serving as a Senior Advisor in the West Wing until the final day of the administration on January 20, 2021.

As State Treasurer since 2024, Fleming has been a watchdog over Louisiana’s finances — fighting ESG nonsense, de-banking, wasteful spending, and carbon capture projects that threaten our landowners and waterways.
