Lee Zeldin Viciously Attacked at a Campaign Event

Lee Zeldin while campaigning in New York for governor was violently attacked by a man who was wearing what appeared to be brass knuckles with spikes. "You're Done" the man yelled while attempting to stab Zeldin as the video will show.


The attacker, David Jakubonis was under the influence of alcohol according to media reports was arraigned for second-degree attempted assault, which is a felony, and freed on his own recognizance.


Zeldin, "a sitting US congressman from Long Island, was campaigning at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Perinton when a man jumped on stage and lunged toward the lawmaker with an unknown weapon, according to witnesses and video of the incident."


Zeldin was not hurt and finished his speech.
