Medicaid for Criminals - Senate Vote

Fifty-six senators voted to strip Medicaid from illegal immigrants convicted of serious crimes. That should’ve been the end of it. But thanks to a procedural technicality and a Parliamentarian no one elected, criminal non-citizens still get taxpayer-funded healthcare, while millions of struggling Americans wait in line.
Let that sink in.
This wasn’t a fringe proposal. It was part of President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” and it had bipartisan support. Four Democrats crossed the aisle. The American people were behind eliminating Medicaid for criminals. But the unelected Senate Parliamentarian—Elizabeth MacDonough—invoked the Byrd Rule, demanding 60 votes instead of a simple majority. The result? A 56–44 vote failed.
Not because the Senate disagreed, but because the rules were rigged.
And who voted to keep the benefits flowing? Senator Susan Collins, the lone Republican to side with Democrats. Remember that name.
This wasn’t about compassion. It was about common sense. If you’re in this country illegally and you commit a serious crime, you shouldn’t be rewarded with free healthcare. Period. But instead of protecting American taxpayers, the Senate protected the system that funnels your money to lawbreakers.
This is what betrayal looks like in broad daylight.

This isn’t a policy disagreement—it’s betrayal in daylight.
While millions of Americans go uninsured, 43 Senators voted to keep taxpayer-funded healthcare for convicted illegal immigrants. They chose criminals over citizens. Foreign lawbreakers over American workers. And they hid behind a Senate rule that let them get away with it.
Remember their names. Share their votes. Show your neighbors.
Because if this vote didn’t wake the country up, you will.
