Opinion:
I was going thru a few text messages the other day, and I came across a message claiming our News site is Right-Wing Propaganda and they were offended. So we looked up the definition of propaganda from Webster, as well as yourdictionary.com and other new sources.
Propaganda presents the facts selectively to encourage people to come to a particular conclusion.
Propaganda is defined as the systematic, widespread distribution of specific ideas, doctrines, and practices which can help one cause or be harmful to another cause. -Not the case as we just present the facts. None of our articles are designed to harm anyone. This includes the people we write about.
Propaganda messages can be delivered as part of mainstream news media, including through music, magazines, movies, and television shows. If we are to discuss music, all one needs to do is listen to Gangster Rap or reality rap, and their lyrics seek to demonize women and the very people the artist rap's about.
From Brittanica, "Propaganda is the more or less systematic effort to manipulate other people’s beliefs, attitudes, or actions using symbols (words, gestures, banners, monuments, music, clothing, insignia, hairstyles, designs on coins and postage stamps, and so forth).
American Progressives do not want fact-checked truths. However, they are perfectly fine according to the hyperbolic explosion of disinformation with the Dobbs case where the Supreme Court returned the issue of abortion to the states to legislate. Several law-makers, as well as media outlets screamed that "Abortion is health-care." Others basically laid claim that it was a woman's constitutional right to abortion.
Decrying that women who had spontaneous miscarriages would be thrown in jail. As well as tubal pregnancies. There is zero credible information to confirm those claims. As there is zero credible information that claims abortion is a constitutional right. Nevertheless, mass media is determined to press their particular style of propaganda that is devoid of facts.
In addition to being offensive, look no further than the White House to insult the intelligence of the American public by redefining the term recession. Economic advisor to the White House, Brian Deese insisted that “two negative quarters of GDP growth is not the technical definition of recession.” When that has been the long-term definition of inflation.
The Inflation Reduction act, brought to Congress by Joe Manchin, admitted, that the inflation reduction act will not reduce inflation. "Why would it?" was his answer when asked about how the act would reduce inflation.
The inflation reduction act has been called a "marketing tool" to make it more palatable to the American public. According to Jordon Sekulow, of the American Center for Law and Justice, it was used to "trick" Americans into supporting the bill.
Those are direct examples of propaganda brought to you via the legacy media, with the help of those lawmakers seeking to push their legislative agenda thru. If you talk about being offended, perhaps you should be offended at the people who deliberately believe Americans are too stupid to look at the legislation Congress is passing.
We could list sever examples of more offensive articles published by authors of The Atlantic, New York Times, as well as other news organizations, however, it would create an encyclopedia of information. If you like our articles, please hit the little heart at the bottom, and don't forget to share. We are a small agency and depend upon sharing of our articles to get the truth in media out to you.
