The skies across the United States were illuminated with a breathtaking array of colors, a phenomenon unseen for many years to decades, as powerful solar flares collided with Earth on Friday.
During a typical geomagnetic storm, Northern Light displays are usually confined to states along the Canadian border. However, this time, they extended as far south as the Gulf Coast, with reports of pink, green, and purple skies in Florida, Texas, and Alabama.
The amazing light show was presented due to heightened solar activity leading to the creation of auroras, which dance around the Earth's poles, known respectively as the northern lights (aurora borealis) and southern lights (aurora australis). As the energized particles from the sun reach Earth's magnetic field, they engage with gases in the atmosphere, resulting in the illumination of the sky with various colors.
Researchers caution that this rise in solar flares and coronal mass ejections emanating from the sun could disrupt communication on Earth until the weekend.
The dazzling display of lights extended its reach as far south as Florida and Texas, captivating observers with its brilliance.
Psalm 19:1
"The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork".
