The Religious Community Travels to Nashville to Honor the Innocent Lives Lost


Pastor Bristol Smith as well as several other churches attended a vigil in Nashville to honor and pray for the 6 innocent people were senselessly murdered days before Christianity's most holy day. Days before Easter, Covenant Presbyterian a private Christian School in Nashville was under attack by an individual intending to take as many innocent souls as humanly possible. This individual is responsible for the brutal senseless murder of three beautiful children and three adults.


While the pundits in the media absolutely love writing about death and destruction, today, we will focus on the individuals whose lives ended prematurely at the hands of one person. Three students each were nine years old. Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs and William Kinney.


Hallie Scruggs has been described by friends and family as a vibrant little girl. was the only daughter of Chad and Jada Scruggs. She will be remembered for her love of soccer and basketball, as well as unicorns and ninjas. Her Father Chad the senior pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church, has said that the family is relying on its faith to help it get through this tragedy.

There isn't much information on William Kinney, as his parents have not spoken publicly about his death. However family and friends of the family have said William was the light of their lives. They are struggling to accept the sudden and senseless death of their son.


Evelyn Dieckhaus. nine years old, has been described as having the voice of an angel. Loved ones described her as the sporty girl as a “shining light” and invited guests to the funeral service to wear pink or other joyful hues in tribute to her “love of color”.

As described by the family, Evelyn was a "constant beacon of joy to her family, she was a radiant, sparkly soul with an ever-present twinkle in her eye."


Evelyn was trying to pull the fire alarm to protect her fellow students when she was brutally shot down in cold blood. Her bravery will be remembered.


The three adults who were murdered were, "Cynthia Peak, 61; Katherine Koonce, 60; and Mike Hill, 61.


While we believe every life is sacred, the senseless murder of innocent children is heart-wrenching. We will continue to update this story as it develops.
