Who Is Trustworthy to Carry the Conservative Torch?

Five months into the Trump Presidency, America has enjoyed enormous successes and victories, which were the very promises of "Making America Great Again." From an increasingly flourishing economy, to bolstered international standing, to a secured border, to the reining in of leftist activist "judges" who seek to make National policy with their extra-Constitutional "edicts," America is increasingly shedding leftist baggage and getting back on track.

Of course, the Left isn't taking any of this lightly! Whatever is good for America is, by definition, bad for the Democrat Party, since it can only advance its vile agenda on the backs of suffering, chaos, and fear. So it is no surprise that the Democrat leftists are on overdrive, attempting to paint every new situation that arises as the latest "impending doom" for our Nation about which they so hysterically warned. And of course, when none of their dire predictions play out, they simply move on to the next looming calamity, with not a word of contrition for the former falsehood they so exuberantly promoted.

Meanwhile, though President Trump is obviously the clear and undisputed leader of the "Make America Great Again" movement, among second tier "Conservative mouthpieces," the lack of a single, central Conservative media figure beneath him has left something of a "vacuum" which many individuals across America are attempting to fill. And while they all claim to be the embodiment of Conservatism, Patriotism, and even Christian Truth, it is patently obvious that this realm is thoroughly fractured, with many unprincipled, self-serving opportunists and even some outright leftist infiltrators among their ranks.

It is therefore crucially important that real Conservatives discern between the warriors and the players, lest we be derailed from the needed course that will complete the restoration of our Nation. The disguises are prolific, but with vigilance and unwavering commitment to Truth, the indicators of sincerity and fraud can be identified.

For starters, though President Trump clearly spearheads this movement, it isn't ultimately about him, or a particular rhetorical triumph or faux pas he might commit on any given day. During his first term, far too much was made of such petty issues as the "Mean Tweets" for which he was famous, rather than the message he sought to convey and the promises he delivered. His words and personal actions will matter most in the years to come as they redound to the benefit of the American people.

The same principle holds true for those throughout America in 2025 who claim to be the rightful torchbearers of Conservatism. Many seek this acclaim for purely personal, opportunistic reasons. The frauds among them quickly prove they have much more energy and "fire in their belly" to attack President Trump and anyone who would actually do something to fix the mess, than those leftist Democrats who caused the mess and are gaining from it, politically and financially.

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is the textbook example of this! His latest stunt is to throw in with none other than screaming Virginia leftie Tim Kaine, as they collaborate to undermine President Trump's efforts to rid the world of the Iranian nuclear threat. Wrapping himself in "The Constitution" with a vigor and duplicity reminiscent of Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger when they sat between Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff on that infamous J6 committee, Paul claims his intention is to limit President Trump's ability to commit US troops to military action.

Yet it takes only a little close inspection to realize that Rand Paul is planning a White House run in 2028. Knowing that Vice-President JD Vince is in the prime position to carry the Trump Torch in four years, Paul is actually betting at this point on a failed  Trump Administration, which would place him as the proper standard bearer to "restore" the GOP to its former glory, whatever that was. Worse yet, he has on several recent occasions (his collusion with Kaine being only the latest) actively sought to undermine the President to the direct benefit of the Democrats.

Among the podcast/talk show universe, the field is vast and even more disparate. It is for this reason that much observation and consideration must be given as to who to believe, and who to dismiss out of hand. Though virtually everyone with a microphone and a camera can claim to be the "leading voice of American Conservatism," the "credentials" they cite are all over the board. Too many are no less opportunistic than Rand Paul, and as is so predictable, some are actually leftist plants, who seek to cloud and confuse every issue in order to prevent a cohesive Conservative momentum from developing.

This being the case, some general guidelines need to be observed in order to separate the sheep from the goats. For starters, while President Trump is not deemed to be without flaw, he is clearly "moving the ball down the field in the right direction." This means that any "naysaying" should immediately send up a warning flag. It is not that he is incapable of error, but criticism that never offers a viable alternative must be recognized as merely an attempt to undermine.

Likewise, those whose end game would be a restoration of the GOP Establishment "Status Quo," no matter how eloquently it is presented (See: Rand Paul above...) must be relegated to what President Reagan once deemed the "ash heap of history." Missteps by President Trump may, in some cases, warrant words of caution and concern. But if they are cited as reason to revert to the "Glory Days of Jeb Bush," we can be sure that they are misbegotten at best, or perhaps the work of a leftist front group.

America in 2025 has suffered enormously from a leftist onslaught that clearly breached the law and trampled the Constitution at every opportunity, only pretending to uphold them when such claims might hamstring our side. Meanwhile, they were weaponizing the very institutions of Government that once upheld the American ideal. Consequently, our situation is still grave, and it is beyond naive to presume it can be restored to normalcy with delicacy and finesse. Bold moves, from unabashed warriors, are needed at every level, from the local school board to the highest offices in the land. It is therefore imperative that as we confront the crimes and corruption of the left, we make a concerted effort to root out the spineless minions and impostors who may claim to be on "our side," but whose past records prove they are not sincerely devoted to the cause, or don't actually understand it.

We have undeniably been granted a huge window of opportunity by Almighty God to turn back the evil tide of leftist dogma that has wreaked so much harm on our Nation in recent years. But we can only prevail if we stay true to the right moral and ethical precepts, reject the naysayers, and rally to those who have proven themselves and their trustworthiness. We can know who they are because they stood firm on their guiding principles when it was potentially costly, yet the right thing to do!
