The Biden's Department of Homeland Security has decided to put on hold the idea of a disinformation board. Prompting its would-be leader to resign.
The Washington Post reported that "the Department of Homeland Security decided to scrap the idea Monday after weeks of backlash from Republicans, libertarians and even some liberals, who likened the scheme to the Ministry of Truth from George Orwell’s classic novel “1984.”
A spokesperson complained to the Washington Post that Jankowicz “has been subjected to unjustified and vile personal attacks and physical threats” and called her “eminently qualified.”
The disinformation specialist has been known to spread "untruths" one specifically comparing the information about Hunter Biden's laptop as a product of the "Trump campaign."
"After six years dedicated to the study of disinformation and best practices in responding to it, I joined the Department of Homeland Security to be the executive director of the Disinformation Governance Board with the intention of supporting the Department's important work addressing disinformation that affects the homeland," she said.
DHS tapped her work with Ukraine and Russia to appoint Jankowicz as the head of the Department of Homeland Security disinformation board. However, after the backlash from Republicans, Independents, and even some Democrats, the DHS has put the disinformation board on hold.
Americans do not want the government telling people what to think. The ACLJ, the American Center for Law and Justice filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request against President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as he attempts to muzzle anyone who contradicts his or the radical Left’s agenda through the newly announced “Disinformation Governance Board.”
