Kamala Harris Inauguration Attire is in Question

Updated: Feb 2, 2021

Fashion magazines overwhelmingly complemented vice president Kamala Harris for her strong choice of attire during her inauguration as vice president. Donning the color purple to her was a strong message that she was honoring the women's suffrage movement that led to the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920, which granted women the right to vote.

According to Colorbux, "the Wearing purple symbolizes royalty, grandeur, independence, wisdom, devotion, extravagance, pride, and creativity, just to mention a few. And yes, the association with wealth is still made today. Beware though, for purple can also symbolize arrogance."

Harris also wore a strand of pearls giving a nod to her sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha, the first African American lettered sorority.

Despite the raving reviews from the mass media industrial complex, there lies perhaps what some biblical followers have pointed out on social media a sinister and apocalyptic-like meaning behind her attire.

Revelation Chapter 17 describes a woman wearing purple adorned with pearls as being the "Whore of Babylon." The woman described in Revelations is a woman of wealth and authority. Clearly, Harris has both and is currently the second most powerful person in the world.

Kamala Harris has had a questionable career in politics. As attorney general of California, she has had several policies that were questionable. As a senator, her positions were antithetical to Christianity. Such as her position on abortion where she supports abortions, and has received the endorsement of Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion clinic in the United States.

Whether or not Harris is the "Harlot of Babylon" she should have a different designer picking out her attire. Christians were quick to point out her elaborately designed ensemble resembled the visual description of the woman in purple in Revelation.
