Media Frienzy Over Classified Material

The media has gone crazy with speculations that former President Trump has classified nuclear papers hidden at his Mar-a-Lago estate. So much so that one presidential historian likened Trump to the Rosenbergs charged with conspiracy and providing atomic secrets to the USSR.

In his haste, he tweeted "Rosenbergs were convicted for giving U.S. nuclear secrets to Moscow and were executed June 1953. There is no way Beschloss has seen the material taken from Trump's residence or has any indication of what the files removed contained.

General Michael Hayden, retired USAF, and former Director of CIA & NSA replied, "Sounds about right."

President Trump on the other hand had words to say about the issue, stating on his Truth Social account that "President Barack Hussein Obama kept 33 million pages of documents, much of them classified. How many of them pertained to nuclear? Word is, lots!"

Trump went further to explain, "Nuclear weapons issue is a Hoax, just like Russia, Russia, Russia was a Hoax, two Impeachments were a Hoax, the Mueller investigation was a Hoax, and much more. Same sleazy people involved. Why wouldn’t the FBI allow the inspection of areas at Mar-a-Lago with our lawyer’s, or others, present. Made them wait outside in the heat, wouldn’t let them get even close - said “ABSOLUTELY NOT.” Planting information anyone? Reminds me of a Christofer Steele Dossier!"

Trump "released a statement saying he would not oppose but rather was “encouraging the immediate release of those documents” related to what he called the “un-American, unwarranted, and unnecessary raid and break-in … Release the documents now!”

Human events obtained a copy of of the search warrant filed to search former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.

Property to be seized, included: “All physical documents and records constituting evidence, contraband, fruits of crime or other items illegally possessed in violation” of legal codes, including:

“Any physical documents with classification markings, along with any containers/boxes (including any other contents) in which such documents are locations, as well as any other containers/boxes that are collectively stored or found together with the aforementioned documents and containers/boxes:

“Information, including communications in any form, regarding the retrieval, storage, or transmission of national defense information or classified material;

“Any government and/or Presidential Records created between January 20, 2017,” the day Trump took office, and the end of his term.

Additionally, the warrant demands the seizure of “Any evidence of the knowing alteration, destruction, or concealment of and government and/or Presidential Records, or of any documents with classification markings.”

Regardless of what the FBI may or may not have found, Jay Sekulow from ACLJ argues that because the magistrate Bruce Reinhart had a known bias against the former president, that all material received must be declared null. The justice who granted the warrant for the raid had earlier in the year dismissed a civil suit between Hillary Clinton and Trump citing bias. However, the tweet below shows that Reinhart should have recused himself from the case.

President Trump responded on Truth Social claiming, "Number one, it was all declassified. Number two, they didn’t need to “seize” anything. They could have had it anytime they wanted without playing politics and breaking into Mar-a-Lago. It was in secured storage, with an additional lock put on as per their request...
