The Biden WhiteHouse issued the following statement from his White House COVID-19 Response Team and Public Health Officials:
"We are intent on not letting Omicron disrupt work and school for the vaccinated. You’ve done the right thing, and we will get through this."
"For the unvaccinated, you’re looking at a winter of severe illness and death for yourselves, your families, and the hospitals you may soon overwhelm."
This statement prompted social media and others to call into question the policies of the Biden administration with respect to the number of undocumented illegals flowing across the border. Pew Research pointed out that, "U.S. Border Patrol reported more than 1.6 million encounters with migrants along the U.S.-Mexico border in the 2021 fiscal year, more than quadruple the number of the prior fiscal year and the highest annual total on record."
These border crossers are not required to be vaccinated. In a statement during a press conference, press secretary Jen Psaki stated, "As individuals come across the border, and they are both assessed for whether they have any symptoms if they have symptoms they are." However, everyone coming into the country via airline is required to show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid -19 test.
The immigrants coming over the border are not required to receive a Covid-19 vaccination, but the Biden administration is declaring that all Americans need to be vaccinated.
