Senate Judiciary Committee Sends Barr to Senate for confirmation

Just in, as reported by Reuters,  "The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday approved President Donald Trump’s attorney general nominee, William Barr, and sent him on to the full Senate for a final confirmation vote." 


The judiciary committee was split along partisan Lines.  As Democrats worried about Barr not releasing the Mueller investigation information, Republicans made claim that Barr was more than qualified.

 

Barr is a Republican lawyer who served as Attorney General under President George H. W Bush.  He also worked under former President Ronald Reagan's administration on the domestic policy staff.
